Service Description

Indian Head Massage is under-rated for its power as a therapy. It has so many benefits which promote the body as a whole. The Indian Head treatment at Escape & Rebalance is applied laid down and is a massage of the shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp, often bringing relief from tension in these areas. You will be made comfortable with warm towels and blankets. The room will be softly lit and warm. Your treatment will commence with some tension relieving breath and grounding work, enabling you to relax and fully benefit from the massage. Organic Argan Oil blended with Organic Rose Essential Oil will be applied to the skin, usually warmed throughout the Winter months and cool in the Summer months. Argan oil is used for its anti-oxidant and anti-imflammatory healing properties promoting healthy growth of hair and skin. Rose Essential Oil is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, great for tissue and cell regeneration in the skin. Rose oil has long been used as a folk remedy for wound healing, as well as the reduction of scars and fine lines. Making it perfect for anti-ageing. It also stimulates the release of the chemical dopamine supporting the balancing of emotions, which can at times be brought to the surface with an Indian Head massage. Indian Head massage works on the muscles of the upper body; manipulations of the neck, scalp and shoulders are particularly effective at melting away stress as these areas are usually the tensest. You will feel the tension just melt away as you drift off into a deep relaxed state. You will be welcomed back to the room from your relaxed state with either a warm herbal tea or a glass of water and given time to fully re-awaken, ready to continue your day. The benefits of Indian Head Massage • A relief from muscular tension, especially stiffness in the neck and shoulders • Increased joint mobility • Improved circulation which will help disperse toxins such as lactic acid from the muscles • An increase in alertness and concentration • A relief from stress symptoms such as tension headaches, eye strain and insomnia • An increase in scalp circulation which promotes growth and strength of the hair • Promotes tissue and cell regeneration and drainage of the facial tissues • Re-balancing, releasing and healing of emotional tension • A feeling of well-being and a sense of peace and tranquillity
